Robbie is the specialist in charge of the three Natural History and Taxidermy sales a year, as well as being a part of the General Valuations team and an Auctioneer. He joined Tennants in 2007 as a porter in the saleroom and on the transport team, having previously worked in his family’s fine art and antiques delivery business. 

Robbie has had a keen interest in taxidermy and the natural world since childhood. After assisting in the department for several years, Robbie took over as the specialist in 2016. Since then, he has grown the department and has handled important collections such as the single owner sales of The Historical Collection of Natural History and Taxidermy from Hodnet Hall, and Antlers of the World: The Raymond & Annie Hutchison Collection. 

Outside of his duties at Tennants, Robbie is a keen trap shooter and is currently sponsored by Tennants in his bid to be selected for the England Automatic Ball Trap team and the Great Britain team to shoot overseas. Having started shooting as a child, at 17 he was selected as a junior shooter for the England Trap Team and winning the English Open Junior Trap Championship. He took up his gun again in 2016, and qualified for the men's England Automatic Ball Trap team in 2019 and 2021, just missing out on winning the British Open the same year.
