Preview: Stamps, Postal History & Postcards Sale

Tennants Auctioneers’ Stamps, Postal History and Postcards Sale on the 26^th October features excellent original collections, including an undisturbed new issue accumulation of the 1940s and 1950s with invoices providing a chronological key. The main highlight of the sale however is a single-owner section including Great Britain assembled for superb postmarks from town-cancelled 1840 issues onwards, Great Britain used in Chile, Chilean classics, and exciting postal history.      

The postcard section of the sale is almost entirely comprised of collections fresh to the market with plenty of interesting and beautiful cards dispersed throughout, for example postcards of Hankow by a local photographer and images of County Durham topography and shipwrecks from a large vintage album.
