A large collection of vintage port from a private cellar will be offered in the Fine Wine and Whisky Sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 4th September. Comprising 130 bottles sold in 15 lots, the collection offers such highlights as a lot of six bottles of Croft 1922 Vintage Port, offered with an estimate of £1,000-1,500 (all figures exclude buyer’s premium. Further good lots from the same cellar include three bottles of Veuve Clicquot 1937 Dry Champagne (estimate: £500-700), and twelve bottles of Grand Vin de Château Latour 1965 Pauillac (estimate: £2,000-3,000).

Amongst the fine wine on offer in the sale from other vendors are such highlights as a magnum of Château Lafite Rothschild 2006 Pauillac (estimate: £600-900, twelve bottles of Domaine J. Cacheux Echezeaux 2009 Grand Cru (estimate: £1,500-2,000), twelve bottles of Château Beychevelle 2008 Saint-Julien (estimate: £700-1,000), and twelve bottles of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste 1982 Pauillac (estimate: £700-900).
Macallan continues to dominate the world of Scotch whisky, and on offer in this sale is a bottle of The Macallan 18 Years Old Gran Reserva Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1981 and sold with its original wooden presentation case (estimate: £2,000-3,000), and a bottle of The Macallan 18 Years Old Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, distilled in 1979 (estimate: £2,000-3,000). Also of note will be a bottle of Springbank 1973 18 Year Old Campbeltown Malt Scotch Whisky, which was distilled in 1973, matured in a rum butt, and bottled in 1991 by W.M. Cadenhead (estimate: £1,200-1,800).
