One of the highlights of the selection is a fantastic Henry VI, Anglo-Gallic Salut D’Or, struck at Rouen, Normandy in the first half of the 15th century; the coin is in excellent condition with the devices clear and well stuck (estimate: £1,500-2,000 plus buyers’ premium). A wonderful Henry VIII, First Coinage Angel adds further appeal to the hammered section, especially in such a well-preserved state (estimate: £1,800-2,200 plus buyer’s premium).
Enthusiasts of more modern Royal Mint proof coinage will not be disappointed with a large offering of both gold and silver boxed sets and coins. In addition, there is a sizeable offering of sovereigns and silver proof coinage.
