Postcards from around the World

A fascinating collection of over 130 postcards from around the world is coming up for sale in the Stamps, Postcards and Postal History Sale on 18th October. The small collection comprises mainly vintage cards of Asia with interesting China, Japan, Asia, USA and British cards, including shipping lines and other better cards. The collection includes a very fine vintage card of a Chinese school and teachers, several SS Manchuria cards, and cards depicting Chinese, Thai and Java social history. Further fascinating images include Tokyo cherry blossoms, street scenes of Yokohama, and early USA cards with Fillmore Street San Francisco, one year after the 1906 earthquake. Also a few British and European cards.
