The largest auction of Beswick & Border Fine Arts to come under the hammer at Tennants will be sold on 7th August, as part of their Antiques & Interiors Sale.
Over 250 lots of the collectable Beswick and Border Fine Arts are on offer, with popular models including hunting groups, racing subjects, cattle, sheep, tractors, machinery and the ever-popular Appleby Fair bow top wagons. Also included is a small section of Royal Worcester and Country Artists models.
Traditionally bought by the farming community, these collectable models reflect country life both past and present and attract a loyal following at auction.
Highlights of the 7th August sale include Border Fine Arts’ models ’20 Acres a Day’ (estimate £500-700 plus buyer’s premium) and ‘Striking a Deal at Appleby Fair’ (estimate £500-700), a Beswick Chestnut Gloss Horse (estimate: £200-300) and a Royal Worcester ‘Cantering to the Post’ by Doris Lindner (estimate: £200-300).
The sale offers collectors a fantastic chance to snap up a favourite model or two, and if they are unable to attend the sale in person, Tennants offer a whole range of remote bidding options.
