Fancy owning a piece of West End History?

Included in the Motor Vehicle & Automobilia Sale on 7th October are two newly restored 1930s style pedal cars, which starred in the 1983 stage production of Bugsy Malone at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End.
The popular stage show was directed by Mickey Dolenz, best known as a vocalist and drummer from the 1960s band The Monkees. Over 13,000 children were auditioned for the comedy musical, before a cast was eventually chosen; amongst the lucky few were a 14 year old Catherine Zeta Jones, who would play the part of Tallulah, and Christian Bale's sister Louise. The production ran for 8 months, with 300 performances.

The stage production was based on the popular 1976 British film of the same name, featuring a cast that was played solely by child actors. A musical gangster comedy set in the 1920s, Bugsy Malone follows the eventful life of the title character, a boxing promoter, during the violent gang wars that plagued America at that time. Viewers watch as Bugsy pursues romance and financial prosperity, and see him overcome adversity as he strides towards his final goal of reaching Hollywood with Blousey Brown, his love interest.
The cars are entered into sale with an estimate of £2,000-3,000 (plus buyer's premium) each. For further information, please the department
