Leading the Motor Cars, Motorcycles & Automobilia Sale at Tennants Auctioneers on 8th October, was the beautifully built Bentley which sold exceptionally well at £126,000 (all figures, excluding buyer’s premium), surpassing its estimate. Originally registered BLT 988 in 1935 on an Arthur Mulliner four door saloon, the Bentley’s pre-war identity, coupled up with an impressive 1950s 4.9 litre engine makes for a vehicle that performs as well, and if not better on the road than a 1920s four and a quarter litre.
