Tennants has appointed Jo Fletcher-Lee to the newly created role of Commercial Director. The appointment comes as the Leyburn-based fourth generation family business focuses on the next phase of growth for both its auction business and that of its events and exhibitions venue The Garden Rooms.
Jo has operated at board level in commercial roles for the last 30 years, having previously owned and run her own business growth consultancy, worked as commercial head for a major regional publisher and as a director for one of the country’s largest full-service marketing agencies.
Director Jane Tennant said “Having worked with us for a number of years on a consultancy basis, we are delighted that Jo has joined Tennants full time as Commercial Director. Jo brings with her a wealth of experience in management across different sectors and I know she will strengthen the existing team”.
In 2018 Tennants achieved a hammer total of more than £13m and connected buyers and sellers in more than 70 countries around the world, making it one of the top five salerooms outside London. The key objectives of the business include the further development of its own online bidding platform, Tennants Live, and generating growth from markets in London and the South East from its London office which opened in 2018.
