Rodney is the company Chairman who enjoys meeting and greeting clients at the salerooms and conducting visits throughout the UK.

Having begun his working life in his family’s diverse businesses that included house clearance auctions, Rodney moved to London to work for Sotheby’s. After initially joining the business as a porter, Rodney quickly progressed to working in the ceramics department, where he was to develop a lasting love and in-depth knowledge of British and European ceramics.

Rodney is passionate about all aspects of the auction industry and encouraging a new generation of specialists. He is still involved in the salerooms, entertaining and enlightening visitors with his extensive knowledge of the business and sharing fascinating stories gleaned during his fifty-five year career.
