Rodney is the company Chairman, and takes an active role in all aspects of the day to day running of the salerooms. He also undertakes many of the client visits and valuations across the North of England and London.

Having begun his working life in his family’s diverse businesses that included house clearance auctions, Rodney moved to London to work for Sotheby’s. After working as a porter, Rodney quickly progressed to the Ceramics department, where he was to develop a lasting love of British ceramics.

Rodney is passionate about all aspects of the auction business. He frequently lectures groups visiting Tennants and the Garden Rooms, entertaining and enlightening with his extensive knowledge of the business and stories gleaned from his forty-year career.
