Andrew is the consultant specialist for the Rugs, Carpets and Tapestry Department. Andrew joined Tennants in 2009 with over thirty years’ experience in the antiques trade. He is a well-respected international authority on rugs and carpets and the author of Rugs and Carpets; Techniques, Traditions and Designs (Mitchell Beazley, London, 1996).

Andrew began his career in London working with period furniture dealers John Keil and Peter Lipitch before going on to join Bonhams, where he established their carpet department and became director of the Furniture and Carpet Department in 1996. Andrew joined Phillips in 2000, and following a move to Yorkshire he over saw their general valuations in South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire before establishing his own valuations consultancy in 2008.
