This Autumn, the Garden Rooms at Tennants are delighted to be hosting a new exhibition by the Wensleydale Camera Club.
Following on from being featured in Amateur Photographer magazine, and prize-winning success at the North Yorkshire and South Durham Photographic Inter-Club Competition, the Wensleydale Camera Club will present a selection of its regional prize-winning printed work.
All the photographs in the exhibition will be available for sale. There will also be an opportunity to vote for your favourite print.
ABOUT THE CLUB
Established in 1957, the Wensleydale Camera Club is home to a small, lively, and above all, friendly group of photography enthusiasts. The club welcomes all who are interested in photography, whether they are just starting out or are advanced or professional photographers who may be willing to support the club’s activities.
Over the years the club has provided a wide variety of activities to appeal to all members, including practical sessions, lectures and competitions. In addition, they hold several critique sessions during the season to provide guidance and support to members in developing their own work.
The club meets on Monday evenings at 7:15pm for 7:30pm, courtesy of the Golden Lion Hotel, Market Place, Leyburn, and the programme normally runs weekly from September until April or May and visitors may drop in for a small fee.
In 2023 the club revived its annual Exhibition, which was held in the Methodist Hall, Leyburn in support of the Wensleydale Community Arts Festival, which they again supported this year with an Around the Town exhibition.
