Over the years Tennants has successfully handled significant works of Sporting Art by the likes of Heywood Hardy, J.F. Herring Snr. and Jnr., John Emms, Archibald Thorburn, William Woodhouse and C.F. Tunnicliffe amongst countless others, and built up a unique database of collectors for this celebrated genre. Tennants also promote Sporting Art by modern and contemporary artists with equal success, achieving an exceptionally high sold rate across the board, which is hard to match and makes Tennants one of the foremost auction houses for this genre.
