The Fishing and Sporting Department holds specialist sales three times a year, encompassing a wide range of collectable sporting items. Sales include sporting memorabilia for popular sports such as football, cricket, tennis, horse racing, rugby, boxing the Olympic Games, as well as antique and good modern fishing tackle.
From signed football shirts to Hardy fly reels and historic football trophies, Fishing and Sporting Sales at Tennants are a source of unique collectable pieces. The department has handled many private collections over the years, including a Private Collection of Wimbledon Memorabilia from the old Number 1 Court. Other notable recent sales include a Silver Presentation Goblet, presented to Burnley Football Club in 1883, which sold for £3,200.
The specialist is available to offer guidance on all aspects of selling Sporting items at auction, from single items to large private collections, and impartial advice to prospective buyers is offered.
